The Norman town of Tonbridge -
Famed for its great Norman Castle, the town of Tonbridge in Kent is set on the river Medway, and is home to many historical museums and interesting local shops. There are a number of family attractions in and near to the town, including the rather cosmopolitan town of Tunbridge Wells (which holds a status similar to the Roman health-spa town of Bath, in the West Country). With small villages and winding roads to explore just out of town, and family activities (and a great cinema!) in the town, you'll love Tonbridge.
